The Music Valley Village Has a Lot to Offer Both Tourists and Locals Alike in Nashville, Tennessee

by Rich and Laura Lynch

No trip to Nashville is complete without a stop at the Music Valley Village located at 2416 Music Valley Drive, Nashville, Tennessee in the shadow of the Grand Ole Opry. We made our latest visit on Friday, January 31, 2025 and while there we were reminded just how fun and captivating this spot can be for tourists and locals alike.

At Wicked Ollie's Vintage located in the Music Valley Village in Nashville.

The Music Valley Village is located in an expansive L-shaped strip mall just off of McGavock Pike and the Briley Parkway. Currently, they appear to be in growth mode with several new and expanded businesses taking up space in the complex. Make a journey to the MVV and you can expect to find live music at two corner theaters, unique athletic opportunities, shopping, a variety of antique stores, consignment shops, country-western attire, coffee, gem mining and much more.

We began our day with the The Catio as our destination to do some volunteer work at the acclaimed feline rescue by taking out their special needs poster boy Kenny for a stroller ride around the neighborhood. Next, we stopped in at the Music Valley Antiques & Marketplace and rediscovered their impressive selection of music related books at great prices. We came away with a Neil Young biography before heading down the way a bit to Wicked Ollie's Vintage.

While inside we discovered Franky Rae playing an afternoon set on the store's high profile stage.

While inside we discovered that the artist on stage - Frankie Rae is a regularly featured up and comer at Wicked Ollie's Vintage. Rae is a high-energy country music singer-songwriter now based in Nashville, Tennessee with a sound that blends old-school country roots with modern twists. We also noticed that the artist - who is also currently a student at Belmont University - hails from our home state of New Jersey. So, big props for that. Congratulations are also in order for his recently released Funny Feelings EP that induces joy and satisfaction - especially if you are a fan of a more traditional approach to your country music.

Wicked Ollie's vintage is a favorite stop of ours at Music Valley Vintage. As its sign out front says - they have it all from graphic tees, western, leather, badassery for men and women, hippie, hats, rocker and more. As the one-time home to the location of the Ernest Tubbs Record Shop #2 the store also boasts a bit of musical history of its own as the last Ernest Tubbs tour bus maintains a prize piece of real estate on the outlet's retail floor. So, you can travel back in time to find out how it felt to travel in style as a certified country music star back in the day.

Wicked Ollie's Vintage has it all - including the Ernest Tubbs tour bus.
