"Whether you're looking to rock out at a dive bar with a beer in hand or immerse yourself in an intimate singer-songwriter moment over a glass of wine, AMERICANAFEST has something for anyone who's passionate about music."

AMERICANAFEST was spread out at numerous prestigious venues in Nashville. Their daily and nightly concerts starred an array of talented artists. In addition to tons of live music the festival had special events underscoring the culture of Music City along with comprehensive industry panels. Their Americana Honors & Awards show at the historic Ryman Auditorium celebrated the legends while welcoming the next generation of trailblazers. The night included one-of-a-kind performance pairings and is considered one of the high points of the festival.

Themed affairs hosted by labels and publishing houses were also part of the festivities. Countries and states were well represented at showcases with inviting titles such as "The Aussie BBQ", "Canada House" and "The Arkansas Extravaganza and Explorer Day" which took place at two spots on separate days. The state of Texas also held a number of parties as part of AMERICANAFEST. "Queer Roots" convened at The Groove to feature artists from the LBGT community and labels had events to introduce some of the fine folks on their rosters.

Furthermore, un-official gatherings took place too. The Gibson Garage on 10th Avenue and other venues had live music during AMERICANAFEST week. Easy Eye Sound, Spotify & Luck Presents hosted the "First Annual East Nashville Community Fish Fry" that showcased rising stars like Nikki Lane and well-known stars such as Hank Williams Jr. and The Black Keys. Like many of the AMERICANAFEST happenings this one had free food and water (Liquid Death).

AMERICANAFEST attracts folks from around the world. At the BMI opening night party we met music lovers from Canada. Over the week, we encountered plenty of people from different states in town for this expansive and extensive music festival. Networking and chatting with people with different perspectives was fun and informative. Plus, there were so many new artists to discover along with legends like Lyle Lovett who was in East Nashville on Thursday.

AMERICANAFEST was organized by The Americana Music Association who works closely with artists, labels, radio stations, retailers, print media, festivals, agents, publishers, etc. to help organize and build the infrastructure necessary for the genre to achieve success both creatively and financially. In addition to hosting AMERICANAFEST they publish a weekly Americana Airplay Chart, conduct research, participate in other industry events, produce a newsletter and more.

AMERICANAFEST has become a must attend event for industry professionals, locals, music lovers and tourists so be on the lookout for AMERICANAFEST 2023 and make your plans early to attend this eclectic, educational and entertaining event in a city that reflects all of those traits and more!
