William Prince Is a Royal Presence at AmericanaFest

by Rich and Laura Lynch

William Prince put on one of our favorite shows we have seen to date in Music City when this talented Canadian folk and country singer-songwriter played an intimate record release party at RCA Studio B in early 2020 right before the pandemic hit. It was a triumphant moment for the First Nations' artist who had no way of knowing his hard work and momentum was about to be derailed by the pesky pandemic. But, now Prince and hundreds of other performing artists are able to put all that trouble behind them as AmericanaFest joyfully and gloriously returns to Nashville from September 13 through 17, 2022 at multiple venues across the capitol region of Tennessee.

William Prince returns to Nashville in 2022.

We caught up with William on AmericanFest's opening night at the Gibson Garage where he was taking in Transatlantic Unplugged - a showcase in partnership with Gibson, British Underground and Big Feat PR. We hope he didn't stay out too late because Prince had a big day on Wednesday scheduled to appear at WMOT's Wired In at The Wash at Eastside Bowl to be quickly followed by a few songs at In the Round: Songs of "Yellowstone" at Analog at Hutton Hotel. Prince saves the best for last, however with a prominent headlining slot at the City Winery immediately following the live simulcast of the Americana Awards. This set promises to features music from all three of the prolific musician's full length albums Earthly Days (2015), Reliever (2020) and Gospel First Nation (2020) in a show you don't want to miss.
