Los Lonely Boys Take a Trip Down Memory Lane at Harken Hall in Madison

by Rich and Laura Lynch

Texican Rock 'n' Roll was the theme when the legendary Los Lonely Boys commanded the stage at Harken Hall in Madison, Tennessee on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. In some ways the Brotherhood Tour stop was a homecoming. During the loud and lively show, the band reminisced about moving to Nashville (more specifically the Madison and Gallatin regions) in hopes of becoming a family country band. Since that did not quite work out they perfected their own signature style based on their heritage and home state.

Los Lonely Boys made a triumphant return to Madison, Tennessee in 2026.

The Los Lonely Boys are a GRAMMY‑winning trio from San Angelo, Texas, made up of brothers Henry Garza (guitar, vocals), Jojo Garza (bass, vocals) and Ringo Garza (drums, vocals). Their sound blends Texas blues, rock, soul, country and Tejano to craft a style that they call Texican Rock 'n' Roll with songs sung in English and sometimes Spanish. They follow in the footsteps of their father, Enrique Garza, who performed with his brothers in the conjunto band The Falcones.

The Los Lonely Boys rose to prominence in the early 2000s with their Grammy-winning hit "Heaven", a No. 1 single that helped their self-titled debut sell more than 2 million copies and spent 76 weeks on the Billboard Top 200. Encouragement and support from fans such as Willie Nelson and Carlos Santana validated the Boys who quickly gained a great reputation for passionate live performances.

After years of touring they took some time off to focus on family but returned with renewed momentum, including opening for The Who in 2022 along with the release of Resurrection (2024) that reflects a potent new chapter for the brothers while honoring their past. With their bond stronger than ever, the Los Lonely Boys ruled the Harken Hall stage with a night of Texican Rock.

Leon Majcen held down the opening slot on Sunday night at Harken Hall.

The first three songs of the set including the up-tempo "Can't Get No Love" and later "Blame It On Love" were more recent tunes. Other highpoints of this energized show was the sultry "So Sensual" flowing into "Oye Mamacita" punctuated by extended jams that earned the Boys standing ovations.

The brothers went for a more soulful vibe on "Velvet Sky" then kicked it back up for "Crazy Dream" a dynamic relatable song about the struggle to break out of destructive patterns. As is their custom they played a cover song and in Nashville it was "I'm A Man" (Spencer Davis Group) that they added a tasty Texican spin to. The night ended with fan favorite "Heaven". The concert in Middle Tennessee was a flavorful mix of newer material along with the standards that still sound fresh in a live setting.

Opening for the Los Lonely Boys was Leon Majcen a musician whose story is one of resilience. He grew up on the Gulf Coast of Florida, the son of Bosnian war refugees. As an adult Leon moved to Nashville to craft his unique blend of Americana, folk, and country music - drawing on his experiences and his love of the outdoors. At Harken Hall he took the stage armed with a harmonica and guitar while his friend add more stellar strumming to Majcen's storytelling. Highlights of his set included the visual "Blue Sky" and perhaps the autobiographical "Making a Livin' (Not a Killin')". He also presented a song about the late John Prine, a tale that was well received by the attentive audience. Since harken means to listen this venue encourages people to engage in the music.
