Morgan Myles Raises Her Voice With Powerful Laced Album Release Party in East Nashville
Laced is the debut album from singer/songwriter Morgan Myles. We had the pleasure of attending a private release party on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in East Nashville. During the celebration we learned more about the creative vision behind Laced. Morgan Myles is a powerhouse vocalist with a remarkable five-octave range. She has over 30 million views across social media, aided by her top three finish on the 2022 season of NBC's The Voice. Morgan is also a multi-instrumentalist who is well-respected for her honest storytelling.
Morgan Myles at Laced record release party in East Nashville. Family and friends gathered and packed the pews of an adorable repurposed tiny brick church house just off of the Gallatin Pike. With pre-party socializing concluded Morgan - looking lovely and appropriately fashioned in lace - took a seat at the piano to present the title track from her much-anticpated album. Laced tackled the toxicity of relationships and how love can leave one broken-hearted. However, much of the record follows Myles' journey to rise above the pain and prevail. For the next track, Morgan armed with an acoustic guitar took center stage. Fellow artists from Chili joined Myles to add rhythm to her riveting prose on "American Sky" - a hopeful declaration that somehow Americans can come back together again. Laced was produced, engineered, and mixed by multi-GRAMMY award winner Ross Hogarth and mastered by Richard Dodd. Myles co-wrote the album with a number of talented writers including Matt Morrisey, David Grissom, Helen Darling, Jeff Cohen, Jeff Trott, Melody Federer, Erik Halbig, Rachel T and Gary Nichols. Gary joined Morgan on stage for a number of tunes including the compelling "How Does That Sound" that showcased Morgan's emotional and expressive range. Myles voiced her concerns that the intimacy of music can be lost in technology adding that songs should be real conversations with soul and she punctuated that point with the somewhat rocking "Rock Bottom" that was penned at the time of her grandmother's passing. "Love Is Lonesome" (Myles/Nichols) offered a poignant view of the emotional distance within love.
The new album - Laced. Morgan played most of the impressive songs from Laced but even more amazing was her card trick. Index cards were given out and folks were encouraged to write a phrase down. Taking one card at a time, Myles crafted lyrics for three songs in a matter of moments. She closed the set with the bold "Bad Faith" the moving "Moment of Mercy" and "Que Sera Serenade" to end her captivating showcase. "I'm incredibly excited to share this new album I've worked so hard on with everyone," Myles shares. "It reflects my journey through self-empowerment, love, and healing. It's a true testament to everything I've experienced. I know my fans have been waiting for this, and I'm so grateful to finally put it into their hands to connect with and resonate with." Check out Laced available now in various formats on all the major platforms. While the heavily acoustic presentation showcased at the release party was terrific - it was the instrumental playback of the record that preceded the event that really had our ears perking up. Clear musical nods to hard rockin' acts from the early 80's like the Rolling Stones, the Heartbreakers and Aerosmith could be heard in the backing tracks - that when combined with Morgan's powerful vocal prowess and authentic presence - puts Laced in the early running for album of the year considerations.
