by Rich and Laura Lynch

It was a joyful night when Natalie Grant & Danny Gokey - Celebrate Christmas Tour! hit the stage at the Fisher Center in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, December 13, 2025. This is the 10th year that this cooperative concert featuring two popular Christian artists made the holiday rounds with their mix of Christmas classics and worship songs.

A full band backed both singers on a warm and festive stage.

Natalie Grant is an award-winning musician, author and active philanthropist who co-founded Hope for Justice, a non-profit organization that fights against human trafficking. Natalie's most recent record Seasons debuted at #1 on the Christian Billboard charts and features a long list of cross-gene collaborations including Mary Mary, CeCe Winans, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Jonathan McReynolds and more.

As a Top 3 finalist on Season Eight of American Idol, Danny Gokey quickly became a favorite of millions. After Idol, Gokey released his first record - My Best Days which debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart. Danny is also an award-winning artist who founded a non-profit - Better Than I Found It that supports other 501c organizations. Danny remains busy with raising a family touring and creating new and encouraging music.

Natalie Grant's & Danny Gokey's Celebrate Christmas Tour is a holiday tradition for many.

A large Christmas tree took center stage among a band, backup vocalists, a pianist and a horn section who aptly supported Danny and Natalie. The personable pair opened the concert with a compelling version of "O Come All Ye Faithful". Next, Grant took us on a jazzy trip to a "Winter Wonderland" that flowed into a jolly "Jingle Bells". Danny returned to sing about the "Most Wonderful Time of Year" and what Christmas means to me.

The concert featured solo slots from each along with collaborations. Everything ran smoothly and colorful lighting added to the festivities. During the first set, the stars joined forces for a cheerful "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town". Later, Natalie was given a standing ovation for her heavenly version of "Oh Holy Night" and Danny delivered a moving version of "Mary Did You Know".

The always impressive Natalie Grant had her voice working just fine in Music City.

During the break, Compassion International was given an opportunity to talk about their work. A woman spoke about her challenging childhood and how the organization changed her life. She was living proof that the education, food, medical care and spiritual guidance that Compassion provides for its sponsored children is transformative. Fans were given an opportunity to adopt a boy or girl and those who signed up on Saturday received a CD.

The pair described how this had been a tough week for both of them - Natalie lost her voice for the first time in her career and Danny suffered two black eyes from an injury that occurred while playing basketball. But, in Nashville they were fully recovered. Highpoints of the second set were "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "Angels We Have Heard on High" along with comments from both about the birth of Jesus and how He is the greatest gift while singing with conviction that only Jesus is worthy.

Danny Gokey is a certified Gospel-style crooner in Music City.

The encore featured the classic "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". It is no wonder that this hope-filled holiday show has become a tradition for many with its blend of faith and powerful music presented by two acclaimed artists.
