At the Music City Moonshine Classic Beard and Moustache Championships in the Music Valley You Win By a Hair

by Rich and Laura Lynch

Whenever people say that there in nothing to do in Nashville - I always shake my head. You see, we constantly stumble - or should I say stubble - upon new expereinces in the 615 just as we did when the Music City Moonshine Classic Beard and Moustache Championships Sponsored by Honest Amish was taking place on Saturday, September 06, 2025 at The Troubadour Nashville in the Music Valley.

The Troubadour Nashville always has a lot going on - from concerts to beard competitions.

Participants lined up early for the competition - each one trying to outdo the other with the length and girth of their well-groomed facial hair. Prizes and pride were on the line for this annual event under the auspices of the Tennessee chapter of the national Beard Mobb organization.

These men were getting ready for a long night of judging but sadly no mohawk category this year!

Categories under consideration included Veterans, Kids, Whiskerina Creative, Freestyle, Whaler, Styled Stache, Partial Beard (Goatee/ Chops), Natural Stache, Whiskerina Realistic, Sasquatch, Silver Fox and King And Queen of the Trailer Park. Vendors on site included hair care products, beard soaps and much more. Since the next event is a year away you have plenty of time to get your beard on and get on over to the Music Valley to see if your face can win, place or show.

These contestants were doing some last minute grooming before the doors opened up in Music Valley.
