We had the pleasure of meeting musician Alejandro Medina III while he was conducting a photo shoot on the shores of the Piercy Priest Lake in early February.
Alejandro Medina III on a break during his photo shoot at Piercy Priest Lake
Alejandro Medina III is an independent artist and producer who combines regional Mexican music with influences from American country. Originally from Waxahachie, Texas, and now based in Nashville, Tennessee - Alejandro brings authenticity and creativity to each project he undertakes - standing out from the pack with his ability to connect with audiences with both Mexican and American roots.
The sharply dressed and charismatic Alejandro told team MCN that he is currently working on a full-length album now in Nashville to be released under his own name - singing in English or Spanish, or both - to his active streaming and social media outposts on the web. The first single from the project - "Tu Carita" - will be out on February 21 and the song can be pre-saved via the link provided below.
On the subject of producing tracks for others Medina and making his own music, Medina says - "I used to feel that genres had to be siloed, whether it was working on my own music or the artists that I work with, but I realized that the more I allowed the genres to bleed into one another there was something refreshing and honest about the sound. I was then very pleasantly surprised at how accepted and embraced this new sound was by people of various cultures and backgrounds."
For now, you can see that Media has embraced the collaborative opportunities that Nashville has to offer with the fiery single "Love Like Legends" (posted below) with Leah Turner serving as just the latest example of his talent meshing with a variety of others. Check him out on Spotify where he has already built an audience of over 30,000 listeners. We think that it's a pretty sure bet that there will be even more fans coming along soon.
