Upper Deck Golf Drives Into Nashville

by Rich and Laura Lynch

Upper Deck Golf is a unique golfing opportunity that is played inside ballparks and stadiums across the country. Upper Deck Golf drove into Nissan Stadium at 1 Titans Way in Nashville, Tennessee on March 08 and 09, 2024.

You've heard of the stadium hole? This is a stadium course in Nashville.

While it was raining at our tee time, it did not dampen our fun although we did find ourselves thinking of the Titans' saying to "tighten up" with a switch of letters to "lighten up" which the rain did at some point on Friday. Another positive was this event was supporting Stand Up To Cancer an organization dedicated to improving cancer research and treatment.

At check in we received a bag of 18 colorful golf balls so that we could hit two shots at each hole to equal a round of golf sans the putting. There was also an option to purchase extra balls (mulligans). Each hole had a range of 75-150 yards where players aimed at colored flags on the field for points so there was scoring.

MCN's Rockin' Rich Lynch looks up as the rain came down at Nissan Stadium.

If we hit the designated green that was considered par; off the green was a bogie; within the inner circle around the pin was a birdie; and there was the elusive hole-in-one.

Cleveland Golf is the exclusive equipment partner for Upper Deck Golf and they provided clubs for lefties, men and woman/seniors. Although you can bring your own, keep in mind that only 9 and 8 irons are allowed inside.

MCN's Laura Turner Lynch kept a good grip on a slippery club in Music City.

Also, like a real game we walked the course or should we say the concourse which at Nissan Stadium included ramps and stairs. There were plenty of arrows pointing us in the right direction and by the end of the round we had enjoyed a wide range of perspectives of the football stadium.

At the front and back nine was an interior lounge area where folks could buy adult beverages, food and additional challenges including a UDG driving simulator, closest to the pin and putting.

Tickets got us inside the clubhouse where golf challenges took place with a Batman Building view.

Rain or shine Upper Deck Golf is a once in a lifetime golfing experience taking place inside some of the most fabled sporting complexes in the USA. During a round of golf, you are given the opportunity to hit tee shots from the upper deck around the stadium down to the custom greens on the field below.

It was an entertaining way to complete a 9-hole round of golf and hang out at a cool clubhouse before and afterwards. Please visit Upper Deck Golf's website for a complete list of cities where they will be setting up their pro shop in 2024.

Despite the rain golfing at the stadium was fun with some humor mixed in for good measure.
