The Nashville Sounds Score Big with Well Attended Sound Check Fan Fest at First Horizon Park

by Rich and Laura Lynch

February 03, 2024 felt like an early spring day in Nashville, Tennessee. Thus, it was ideal weather for the Sound Check Fan Fest which took place at the team's home field at First Horizon Park. The Nashville Sounds are a Triple-A franchise baseball team. Back in 1978, the Sounds started off as the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Over the last four decades, thousands have donned a Sounds uniform and over 1,000 of those have made the move to the big leagues.

Fans got to meet and greet several players on Saturday.

Sound Check Fan Fest was a free event open to the community. It was a great opportunity for folks to learn about the team and the ballpark's amenities. For fans it was a fun day to meet some of the players, acquire autographs and get excited for the upcoming season which starts late March. The first home game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 02, 2024.

Booster is always on hand to show his loyal support of the Sounds.

On the main concourse is traditional concession that was giving out free hot dogs and Pepsi productes to attendees all day long. A bar area was open along with games such as ping-pong and a nine-hole mini golf course that we discovered was a particularly difficult one to master at that. There is also a small field where kids were swinging bats and hitting light weight balls. Several promos were going on in addition to a membership drive. Fans could choose their season seats or other various options such as the Friday Fireworks Plan which is 18 games that includes all Friday home games plus some on Sunday. More packages feature food and drink options at the Bauer Lounge which is on the second floor. This area also has corporate suites and spaces that can be rented out for events.

It was time to choose season ticket locations during the fan fest at the ballpark.

The Sounds host theme nights throughout their season which finishes up in the middle of September. One of their popular promotions is "Tito's Tail Waggin' Tuesdays". On these special days, Nashville dog owners can enjoy Sounds baseball with their favorite pups at First Horizon Park. Sound Check Fan Fest featured a scavenger hunt, a play on hatch printing and a great soundtrack blasting from the stadium speakers to really get the fans riled up and ready for the boys of summer to take the field. In addition to player's autographs the team's mascot Booster was handing out his signature. This was a fun event that showcased what First Horizon Park has to offer for baseball fans of all ages.

The fans in these apartments will soon have the best seats not in the house.
