The Nashville Predators Are Grateful For a Winning Season So Far at the Bridgestone Arena

by Rich and Laura Lynch

At the close of their previous campaign many fans of the Nashville Predators had given up hopes of returning to the post-season for the foreseeable future. With a regime change that brought in a new coach and general manager along with several roster moves that sent many of their top players packing - the prospects of returning to the playoffs was pretty much given up for dead - at least in the near term. Then, something amazing happened. The youth driven squad has been scoring early and often within the new offensive minded system of their Head Pred Andrew Brunette - and, as of this writing - the team finds themselves only a few points out of first place in the Central Division of the Western Conference! For that fans are amazed and grateful.

Are you ready for Grateful Pred night in Nashville?

So, what does their front office management come up with to celebrate this remarkable feat? Grateful Pred Night, of course! The event will take place Tuesday, January 09, 2024. Purchase a special theme package to this game and you will receive a limited edition Grateful Dead Night Gnash bear T-shirt. During both first and second intermissions, folks can expect a performance by Grateful Pred a Grateful Dead cover band playing hits on the Ford Band Stage. Other initiatives are in the works. This idea is to blend the love of hockey and music into a memorable tie dyed night on the ice. After all, the Bridgestone Arena is home of The Preds and has presented countless concerts since it opened in 1996.

In 2023, Bridgestone hosted 156 events. It was voted Pollstar's Arena of the Year. According to Billboard the venue was the #3 arena in the U.S. in ticket sales. Bridgestone is grateful for their fans and recognize that these achievements would not be possible without them. The goal is that Grateful Dead Night will be another fun opportunity for the community to come out and experience Smashville while commemorating a legendary band. Who knows how many Jerry and Bobby lookalikes you will see traversing the concourse?

Things are heating up on the ice once again in Music City.

In addition to providing entertainment in Music City, their Nashville Predators Foundation was founded to meet cultural, educational, health and social needs throughout Middle Tennessee. The Preds Foundation is devoted to using its professional sports platform to serve the region by offering unique resources and financial support to local youth-oriented organizations. Since its inception in 1998, the Predators Foundation has awarded more than $8 million in grants to the greater Nashville community.

Give-aways, good works, promotions and theme nights are all part of an action-packed Predators season. Upcoming games will honor service workers, teachers and more. Plus, they will be observing Black History Month along with Leap Year. But first up, is Grateful Pred Night so come on down to Bridgestone Arena for a night of hockey paired with some jam band music as our energetic heroes try to slap a few into the back of the net.

Smashville fans are grateful for another playoff run in the New Year.
