Game Terminal Delivers the Digital Goods in South Nashville

by Rich and Laura Lynch

There is a new game in town in Music City! Nashville is already known as a Mecca and must see travel destination for country music, honky tonks and hot chicken. Now they can add "vacation central for pinball and video game enthusiasts" to its already long list of accolades that people visit the little big town for.

Game Terminal delivered on its promise in South Nashville.

Game Terminal located at 201 Terminal Court in Nashville, Tennessee is an energetic entertainment hub that recently opened in an industrial part of town - that, as its name implies - normally serves the trucking industry. Now, fans are trucking on over to GT to see its large selection of arcade games and pinball machines along with outdoor games such as corn hole and ping-pong. In addition to recreation GT offers casual dining, craft cocktails and local beers.

It's wall to wall pinball at Game Terminal.

Game Terminal has over 250 machines from a collection spanning four decades which includes some limited editions. There is a mix of modern and vintage games so kids from all generations can test their skills. GT is family friendly until 8pm. Parents who are not into gaming can hang out at the outdoor patio or sit at one of the venue's multiple bars that have big screen TVs.

The Journey and the destination to Game Terminal is highly recommend.

Upon our first visit we decided to stroll around GT to see what games they had. Pinball machines lined the walls of the venue and they were works of art with details pertaining to a theme. Many of the machines were dedicated to musicians such as Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and more. We could not resist trying the table honoring The Who's Tommy aka the Pinball Wizard. Rich who scored better at one point triggered an avalanche of three balls coming at the flippers in a Keith Moon like frenzy! Other cultural icons featured Game of Thrones, movies and The Simpsons.

Classic movies were a prominent theme of the modern pinball offerings.

There was a fee for the pinball machines but many of the other games were free. We enjoyed walking down memory lane as we tried our hands at staples such as Pac Man and Space Invaders. Car and motorcycle games were also available as was 2 on 2 Open Ice Challenge and Police Trainer 2. Music added to the energy of GT as did the sights and sounds of an arcade of this caliber. GT offers a fun and immersive experience with both indoor and outdoor games paired with food and drinks.

Race on over to Game Terminal to see what the buzz is all about.

Rave reviews are already pouring in for Game Terminal with many customers detailing that this entertainment destination is worth every buzz, bell, whistle and beep of praise it is gaining from those who claim it now ranks as the best "beercade" in the nation. One commentator from South Carolina wrote that he already has plans to make repeated five and half hour treks to Nashville to revisit the exhilarating thrill delivered by Game Terminal's vintage machines and attentive staff. Can the score go any higher than that?

It wouldn't be Music City without a plethora of music themed machines.

Game Terminal is also home to Music City Pinball in case folks are interesting in purchasing a machine of their own. With 10,000 square feet of games, lounge areas and VIP rooms GT can host events for up to 700 guests-all this along with free parking. Game Terminal is an entertainment destination for gamers, locals and tourists looking for some old and new to do!
