117 Entertainment Group Celebrates One Year In the Biz in Nashville

by Rich and Laura Lynch

It used to be back in happier days before gun violence, traffic troubles and mayoral indiscretions began to dominate the headlines that the only thing Nashville had to worry about was scandal emerging from its breadbasket music industry. Grabbing attention in 2017 for all the wrong reasons was the demise of county's music most powerful public relations firm - Webster PR. We'll spare you the salacious details but that company went out of business after decades of serving Music City's glitterati and top-tier talent pool.

Tim Rushlow.

But, it's not all bad news because the crash and burn of one music industry monolith has led to the creation of several new agencies that have literally risen from Webster's ashes. Most notably is the 117 Entertainment Group - founded and fronted by the likable Zach Farnum - with support from publicity veteran Bev Moser. The company celebrated one full year in business on May 02, 2018 when they held a party featuring many of their roster's brightest stars at South Nashville on Demonbreun situated only yards from the famed Music Row.

Cherish Lee.

The event was streamed live around the world online by Center Stage Magazine and featured fine performances from many of 117's heaviest hitters including Exile, Bobby Bare, Tim Rushlow, Lee Roy Parnell, Cherish Lee, John Berry, Jeannie Seely, Scooter Brown and Shane Owens. The special Wednesday night commemorative occasion was incorporated into a regularly scheduled round held weekly at the restaurant called Jamming In Jammies hosted by Megan Barker. All the musicians and hosts usually perform in sleep wear making this Music City's most unique and comfortable songwriting showcase.

Scooter Brown.
