House of David Launches Second Season in Style at The Fisher Center in Nashville

by Rich and Laura Lynch

There was a star-studded "blue carpet" laid out for House of David on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at The Fisher Center on the campus of Belmont University. In addition to seeing the cast of the show come out in their Sunday best, fans enjoyed a V.I.P. reception before and after a screening of the first two episodes of the second season that was also followed by a Q&A session with the production's creative team.

House of David Season 2 promises to be bigger and better in Nashville.

House of David unfolds in Israel in 1000 BC. The series based on the Biblical account of David follows his journey from a shepherd to his epic battle against Goliath and eventual kingship. However, as many may already know David will face more fights as he navigates palace politics, his brother's jealousy and much more.

House of David season two opens with David's encounter with the giant followed by a dramatic reenactment of Israel defeating their formidable enemies. Yet, history tells us there will not be lasting peace for Isreal. Both episodes set up a number of important elements including King Saul's diminishing reign, the age of Iron transforming warfare, alliances shifts and most importantly how faith will decide David's and his country's future.

Series star Michael Iskander and For King & Country walk the blue carpet at The Fisher Center.

House of David was founded by The Wonder Project - an American independent film and television studio - in partnership with Lionsgate specializing in the production of faith-based entertainment. Their first major undertaking was House of David. The series premiered in February 2025 and soared to the top of Amazon viewership charts leading to a renewal for a second and planned third season.

The new season which will be available on Prime Video with a Wonder Project subscription follows the Biblical figure and future king, played by Michael Iskander who was in attendance along with the rest of the cast walking the blue carpet, talking to press and viewing the opening two episodes inside the ornate theater. House of David opens the door for additional series to support Wonder Project's dedication to building a trusted brand that serves a vast but underserved audience with courageous stories that restore faith in things worth believing in.

More House of David cast and friends in Nashville.

Also seen in Nashville at the House of David Season 2 premiere were Christian music royalty Blessing Offer and the extended family of FOR KING + COUNTRY who are no strangers to the red carpet treatment after the success of last year's Unsung Hero that told the story of the band's rag to riches story that unfolded in real life here in Nashville. Olympic Gold medalist Scott Hamiliton also did not go unnoticed near the action taking place in The Fisher Center lobby as the clock ticked down to showtime.

The elegant Fisher Center was an ideal venue for the celebration of House of David. The multi-purpose facility located on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee opened in September of 2021 continues to showcase an eclectic range of performances including dance productions, live music, operas, plays and exclusive premiers such as House of David and the college which is already well-known for its music degrees is getting more involved in filmmaking – a win-win for their students and the community.

The was a huge press gauntlet and a Q&A session that followed the Season 2 screening.
