Jax Hollow Is Solid at Moxy Hotel in Downtown Music City

by Rich and Laura Lynch

When we ducked out of the late afternoon raindrops on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Nashville we had the good fortune of discovering yet another new venue located in the pop-up hotel at the Moxy Downtown. On that stage in the establishment's bar slash lobby we were also turned on to the fiery performer who goes by the name of Jax Hollow.

Jax Hollow played a solid afternoon set on a Sunday in Nashville.

The youthful looking and photogenic artist was armed with a Fender Telecaster and a foot pedal that included a looping device that helped her build up layers as she created dynamic soundscapes to the originals and covers she was playing for the patrons in attendance.

The Moxy Downtown has a lot of moxie.

Intrigued by her confident and spunky style we checked out her website to learn that she has recently released her debut album called Underdog Anthems that is winning her a pack of rabid fans thanks to abundant and authentic musical chops, sharp shredding and smooth vocals that accompany her superb storytelling as heard on tracks like "Say My Name" and "High Class Bitch".

The interior of the Moxy Downtown has an extreme musical theme.

The new Moxy Nashville Downtown invites free spirits and creative thinkers to experience the city like never before, with modern style, seamless service, and an unbeatable location on Broadway. As the only hotel on Honky Tonk Row they are literally steps away from legendary attractions like the Johnny Cash/Patsy Cline Museum and the Country Music Hall of Fame, as well as Bridgestone Arena, and more. Urban-chic rooms boast exposed brick walls, beds with LED under lighting, complimentary Wi-Fi, and 55-inch HDTVs along with special music rooms to help light the fire of your muse in Music City.
