The Crew of Nashville Nights Convene for a Day on the Lake in Music City
by Rich and Laura Lynch
On Tuesday, August 24, 2021 some of the performers set to take part in the upcoming Nashville Nights International Songwriters Festival in Odense, Denmark gathered on an island located just off the Elm Hill Marina on Piercy Priest Lake to have fun and get to know each other in advance of their spectacular upcoming adventure that will see them serve as Music City ambassadors some 4,463 miles from home.

Corralling the crew on this day was award winning songwriter Blue Foley who has plenty of experience in this sort of thing. He will serve as Head Promoter Nashville & CEO of The Real Nashville Nights Experience portion of the music festival and songwriting showcase that will take place over 3 days at 9 venues encompassing over 70 total events from September 17th through the 19th in Scandinavia's smallest country with a big heart for country music.
Foley set up a fun day's worth of activities on Luau Island - the smallest of the 38 land masses that dot the voluminous Percy Priest Lake. The event ran from early afternoon to just after sunset and featured the island to hang on, boats to float on, live music to jam out to and access to water sports. The backdrop and few spins on the pontoon worked as the perfect setting to shoot a few promotional clips for the festival so search them out on social media.
Nashville via Oklahoma Allie Colleen is a rising star from a musical family.
Some of the marquee females on the Denmark schedule were present and they stepped up to the challenge of performing in the heat of the late summer sun in Nashville. First up was rising star Allie Colleen who strummed a stirring tribute to her Oklahoma home. Kensie Coppin was gracious to her roots and thanked her father for helping her get to this point in her career with the emotional "Daddy and a Dream". Chancie Neal wasn't taking any chances as she sang about a subject she knows very well as a championship horse rider with the authentic and upbeat "Rodeo Money" that had us all roped in.
Also adding their talents to the day was Chelsey Stallings who was behind the camera on the island as the official videoographer of the Nashville portion of the festival. But, she is also an accomplished singer-songwriter who will be taking the stage in Denmark. Along for the ride and pitching in with the fun was film producer Kyle Smithson who had some big news about a new movie studio moving to the region - but the details had to remain under wraps at least for now.

Of course, in the era of Covid and the pandemic the prospect for international travel takes on additional layers of red tape including a four-day required quarantine when the cast of Nashville Nights lands in Copenhagen. Under the steady leadership of Blue they are turning lemons into lemonade by scheduling a songwriting camp and summit for all participants that will surely result in some more future Music City gold even if most of it is penned in a far away European locale.
The Nashville Nights International Songwriters Festival promises to put the focus on songwriting with the main goal seeking to inspire, entertain and motivate songwriters and music lovers across genres, age and countries. They want to help upcoming talent by giving them the chance to perform and help them build networks. At Nashville Nights International Songwriters Festival you get the chance to learn about the creative process from some of the best in the business and fans will be spoiled with many fantastic live shows. The festival events will be spread over nine different venues all placed in the city centre.
