Dan and Shay Get the Good Things Going on the Great Lawn at Centennial Park

by Rich and Laura Lynch

Three-time consecutive GRAMMY Award-winning and multi-platinum duo Dan + Shay celebrated the release of their brand-new album "Good Things" with the Good Things Album Release Concert at The Great Lawn in Centennial Park in Nashville on Friday, August 13, 2021. Our friend JAVELYN was on the scene to help us with this report for MCN.

Thousands packed the Great Lawn in Nashville to celebrate with Dan + Shay.

At first it looked like things might turn a little unlucky as a large cloud loomed over mid-town threatening a "Garth 2.0" to wash out this historic event that featured the first large scale concert on the newly expanded Great Lawn in front of The Parthenon. But, good things truly do come to those who wait and a full two-hour plus show was turned in by the dynamic duo after a short delay due to rain.

The Good Things Album Release Concert precedes the duo resuming their massive headline Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour this fall. The 30-date trek, presented by AEG Presents, begins September 9 in Greenville, SC and concludes on December 7 in Boston, MA. The tour includes stops at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York, NY on September 16 and STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA on October 15. Good Things features 12 imaginatively crafted songs with breathtaking production helmed by the duo's Dan Smyers.

Nashville's newest venue is another "good thing" to happen in Music City.
