A Sweet Day at the Tennessee Honey Festival in Hendersonville

by Rich and Laura Lynch

Mid-Tenn is best known for country music and hot chicken. But, we also excel at creating a product just as gold-laden, sweet and sticky as many of the songs Music Row sends up the charts on a weekly basis - honey. We found that out on our visit to the Tennessee Honey Festival on Saturday, September 07, 2019 in Hendersonville.

The 2019 Tennessee Honey Festival returned to continue the goal of raising awareness toward the honeybee crisis. To help get the message out they employed a wide variety of honey dealers, food trucks, live bands and singers, interactive children's activities, an exclusive VIBee experience along with educational classes and exhibits surrounding honey bees to help illustrate the importance of one of nature's most industrious creatures.

Congratulations to the winners of "best of show" honey.

The 2019 edition of the Tennessee Honey Festival had it all with lots of activities to comb through. The grounds at the picturesque Memorial Park were buzzing with fun for the whole family. The organizers promised over 100 vendors and more than 10,000 attendees who were able to enjoy ample live music, educational speakers and even a unicorn with a rainbow mane - beelieve it or not!
